Another morning and daytime was spent in stress, tension, frustration, despair...
EJ certainly had a very stressful start to the day, it's a wonder her voice didn't wear out! Intruder(s) not seen on-cam.
(Per Moffer)
When she wasn't shouting she was watching and waiting:
(Per MaryGK)
Later in the day EJ appeared to have managed a dip - let's hope that rinsed out some of the biting mites ;)
GJ deigned to turn up with clumps and/or for mating attempts, then, at 23 minutes past 7 in the evening! (should have been that time in the morning, GJ!) he arrived with a very respectable brown trout (thank you, Bucky).
(Per me)
However, EJ was gone 35 minutes max - please may she have eaten it all and not lost any.
Some discord yesterday, as everyone has their own way of dealing with what we all know to be a poor situation for our very precious heroine, EJ :-* We've been thru worse, and mutual support will carry us thru - to who knows where?

Moffer...you have done, and, I hope, will continue to do, some stunning picture grabs that put on record all that happens at the EJ nest.
Two pics of yours from today, so far, that I think are awesome, and capture, in todays glorious sunshine, some classic mood poses of EJ overseeing, and showing off, 3 lovely eggs of hers ...Pics courtesy of Moffer postings earlier.
Good morning to all :) Thank you for the disappointing posts, which are becoming too routine.

[/quote] You commented and snapped yesterday that EJ had returned from a break looking wet, and I mentioned it in the OP, hoping the mites had been rinsed out :) william i said: Butterflies? Managed to find a split-second 'midge' with wings, right over EJ's head :D Looks like a bird but it's not! I do believe it might have been a bird :o I'll do a vid. Thank you, Alison! Is this behaviour typical at this time of day of a bird who has a second nest? I've never monitored Aran. moffer said: George was on the camera tree when we opened up the flaps EJ is up - yet more head-scratching. IMAGICAT

Of course, thanks Scylla. I think it was more of getting her chest wet while having a drink. (I do worry about dehydration)
What is she doing? It only happens (as far as I can see) after preening
You sure you haven't been 'photoshop'ing and adding things into the picture to create interest in todays happenings scylla?Looks to me like a sidewise view of an Xmas tree Angel. :-p
A couple of times EJ has got up and called loudly before preening.
Big feather pulled out several minutes ago, MOFFER, I'm tied up.
EJ has taken a comfort flight

It crossed my mind that it might look like that, so I did a vid and promptly got digressed:
TIP - If you reduce the width in the size panel, narrow pics won't come out so huge. Mine was a guess @ 350, I could've made it less.
.
EJ's latest feather - a secondary?
I got delayed in my last post, MOFFER, mighta know'd you'd'a covered it eventually :)
