Another morning and daytime was spent in stress, tension, frustration, despair...
EJ certainly had a very stressful start to the day, it's a wonder her voice didn't wear out! Intruder(s) not seen on-cam.
(Per Moffer)
When she wasn't shouting she was watching and waiting:
(Per MaryGK)
Later in the day EJ appeared to have managed a dip - let's hope that rinsed out some of the biting mites ;)
GJ deigned to turn up with clumps and/or for mating attempts, then, at 23 minutes past 7 in the evening! (should have been that time in the morning, GJ!) he arrived with a very respectable brown trout (thank you, Bucky).
(Per me)
However, EJ was gone 35 minutes max - please may she have eaten it all and not lost any.
Some discord yesterday, as everyone has their own way of dealing with what we all know to be a poor situation for our very precious heroine, EJ :-* We've been thru worse, and mutual support will carry us thru - to who knows where?

Sleeping peacefully:
I wonder if the VC saw EJ eating her fish yesterday?
Thank you, Scylla, for your start to the DU and your video of last evening's fish delivery. I am finding it too hard to watch EJ having another tough season so just pop in from time to time in the hope that a good fish has been delivered. I'm away again next week so up late trying to get 'tasks' done...
Just so hope that George ups his game but find it very strange that there are no early morning fish - trying not to think about the possible reasons, must try and be positive and go with the theory that he is a young, inexperienced bird that will improve as the days go by.

Glad you made it, Birdsong, and I hope your trip will be a nice one :)
EJ's up, had a stiff flap, now chilling and having a scratch at the back of the nest. Up for longer than usual.
Thank You SCYLLA for starting us off, and your summary of yesterday was an accurate one for sure. Stressful!!!!
Can't sleep for worrying about EJ, but thankfully she got a fish eventually.
All we can hope for is that G. continues to improve in his fishing and incubating skills. I see no point in dwelling on the lack of them.
Probably 33-35 minutes was enough to devour that brown trout as she must have been ravenous, but I thought exactly the same as your comment about whether it was noted if EJ was seen eating the fish, again it would depend on if she took it to one of the perches that was seen from the forward hide.
It would be good to hear from the VC if they did see her eat the fish.
She has had a bit of a wing flap, and was preening herself while standing on the edge of the nest, but now I see she has settled back incubating whilst still preening.

Loose feather sticking up:
Sound has gone!
EJ has tucked her head in and seems to be sleeping, she has been like that for the last 5 mins.
First glimpses of light on the horizon, and EJ still sleeps....
