As a very wise old woman (who is too modest to be named) said yesterday "Deep breath! Let's see what today brings" ;-)
Probably the most beautiful female osprey in the world (compliments of Clare):
And the source of our discomfort, looking a little shamefaced, as well he might (compliments of Moffer):
Off we go !!!

She's back and still alarm chirping....
Its a pity its not somewhere like Manton Bay where the nest is close to fish, as knowing EJ she would have been down and caught herself a fish in a matter of seconds.
She has now settled on the eggs but still alarm calling. She is not happy in more ways than one.
EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
She's up flapping and screaching again
I am hoping and praying that G's absence means he is away trying to catch a fish somewhere, and more importantly bring it back to EJ.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Yes that is one consolation Clare, it always makes me nervous seeing the eggs alone, but I cannot remember even corvids being too much of a problem at LG. I know they will be around, but not seen the constant visits to the nest like there is at LOTL, Threave, Balgavies.
Oh dear she is up again. She is not happy
I am unsure about the number of intruders but an interesting fact in last night's blog was that "they know the nearest nest is about 1.5km - that is under a mile! And actually closer than Glaslyn/PC nest. So as well as intruders, there must also be local activity should that be an active nest.
She is up again, still alarm calling. Something is not pleasing her.
EDIT. Now she has settled back down again....
