What an uneventful day we just survived :o We heard that the cold weather accompanied by high winds all day prevented many birds from carrying out their usual fishing routines, and GJ was among them... until evening, when he turned up for the first time on-cam with a very fine fat headless fish.
This could be compliments of MOFFER or LIMPY, who both posted a similar batch of snaps. It shows the girth of the fish very well.
The rest of the evening was plagued with cam up-n-downs but it seems to be steady now.
EJ has looked rather doddery, maybe the windiness kept her off-balance. She has settled with a good tail portion of fish for company, only the fin showing at midnight;

You may well apologise :o You've driven me to concede defeat and say Goodnight. Nah, I loved it really ;)
Good morning to MARY (I just cannot hold on for you but I look forward to your snaps and comments later), PATILY, MIKE and any other BC-ers who turn up after I've deserted.
Awww Scylla I was busy reading your excellent start to today, and all your overnight posts, thinking you were still around.
Have a good sleep and will maybe see you later on today.
Good Morning to everyone who visits the DU today.
The rain is persistent and EJ is looking wet and miserable, at least her breakfish is very close by.
I don't know who does rain better, EJ or MrsG, I think MrsG just has the edge :-)
Can we please have only dry weather from now on, I hate seeing them having to sit sodden wet.

EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
Good Morning SCYLLA and MARY That is remarkable, spare fish on the nest A very wet lady incubating
Morning Patily
Poor EJ is thoroughly soaked, at least we know she is not hungry, she hasn't been calling at all for the last hour that I have been here.
Maybe GJ is hiding under the branch of a fir tree keeping dry, it is time he appeared and gave EJ a break.
EJ got up, fired a laser, then is now tucking into her breakfish
By the little chirps she is making, I think she is enjoying that fish.
06-14 BST...EJ rises up, backs to the edge of the nest, does a poop....then thinks she will have a bit of breakfish before its pinched.EDIT: Sorry MaryGK.... double reporting what you had already posted...but I am a slow keyboarder. :-(
EJ having her breakfast now with little chirps and some wing flaps
Loch Garten ospreys
I was distracted and as I looked up, somebody flew past EJ looked but wasn't bothered
Hope GJ does his share of incubating today
Well as EJ is tucking in with gusto, I have to go now.
Enjoy your webcam watching day all!
