Summary of the season so far:
Maya arrived back 12 March and Blue 33(11),on 14 March. The pair are currently incubating three eggs - #1 laid 28 March, #2 laid 31 March and #3 on 3 April.
Maya and 33 have incubated these eggs for 34 days now and in a few days we should see the first hatching of the season and another record broken!
Maya is up and about to feed the chicks
33 arrives in the middle of the feed and is mantling

33 remains keeping watch while Maya continues to feed the chicks
The two eldest are getting the lions share as the little one, while at the front, seems to be pegged down/under them or perhaps it is full and fed first/ The cam keeps freezing but Maya will make sure they are all fed.
33 has flown. Maya feeds for a little longer then settles down on the chicks.
Off out now - SYAL
Karen W said: That is interesting Alison! Also a good job that fish didn't start flappin' while on top of the chicks as they are a fair weight!

It did several times - that's why I was quite worried, and also when the little one was seemingly buried.
33 standing by as Maya feeds the chicks just now
33 flies off and each chick is getting fish
Little one and it has had a many pieces this time
one of the elder chicks
and the other
Feed now over and Maya starts to clean up and cover the chicks
Here is the blog about the flapping fish incident.
Gosh! The male usually eats the head so that doesn't happen. A slip up there 33, but he saves the day in the end. Lovely feeding video. Amidst all the sadness of other nests it's lovely to see one going well.
