Summary of the season so far:
Maya arrived back 12 March and Blue 33(11),on 14 March. The pair are currently incubating three eggs - #1 laid 28 March, #2 laid 31 March and #3 on 3 April.
Maya and 33 have incubated these eggs for 34 days now and in a few days we should see the first hatching of the season and another record broken!
S2 has been sighted again in The Netherlands. So glad he's made it back to Europe. (He's the one I saw in Senegal just after Christmas.)

Blue 33 can retire now having got two chicks back :)Must have been great to spot S2 in Senegal.
Ringing of S2

33 arrives with a large stick much to Maya's horror
Maya grabs it from him
She drags it across the nest carefully lifting it above the chicks
but 33 keeps trying to grab the stick and put it in the centre of the nest !!!.
there is a right tussle now - which Maya wins
Maya keeps moving the sticks and securing them
To Maya's relief, 33 flies off
Maya now gets the nest back in order while the chicks sleep

Bit of an understatement ... I was beside myself! The first webcam I ever watched was MB in 2015, so I had seen this bird hatch and fledge.
33 just did it again! And Maya tidied up again.
Maya is feeding the chicks and 33 is on the nest too. I think he has brought another stick!
And I see the stick over one of the chicks!
33 flies off and Maya moves the stick
Maya continues to eat while the chicks sleep
Maya takes a quick comfort break.
I hope the little chick is OK - it is still rolled up.
I could see the chick moving while Maya was settling Karen and I think 33 is on the camera perch by the way the view is shaking1
Birdies LG DU update.
And again, another stick from 33 which he drops on Maya's back
now he moves it
Maya gets up - the wee chick is moving
Maya covers the chicks again
33 now flies off
I am wondering if these are "frustration sticks" as 33 is no longer able to sit.
I am sure he did the same last season once the chicks hatched.
