Summary of the season so far:
Maya arrived back 12 March and Blue 33(11),on 14 March. The pair are currently incubating three eggs - #1 laid 28 March, #2 laid 31 March and #3 on 3 April.
Maya and 33 have incubated these eggs for 34 days now and in a few days we should see the first hatching of the season and another record broken!
All calm with Maya brooding/incubating. Fish on nest.
Birdies LG DU update.
Morning Mike and all who follow
Thanks for all the pics and posts
I was just going to ask if that was fish on the nest but I see you have answered my question Mike
The sun is at the big white mushroom stage, I hope it does not get too hot for Bob 1 and 2 today, I think the forecast said it was to be record breaking temperatures down south, Maya is very experienced though and will keep them safe.

If it gets very warm, which it is predicted to do, the adults will sometimes bathe to allow the cooling effect of water on the chicks..and no doubt on themselves!
As for the sun it's at the 'Mary Mushroom' stage!
33 has arrived with fish piece in talons. Maya proceeds to feed little uns
Maya picks up the fish piece
33 stays to watch the feed

Blue33 popped in early for a leisurely view of his babies:
At 0530 Maya ate and then fed the 2 osplets - both got fed, but it seemed to me that she "favoured" the front one, who looked like #2 to me, not at all sure. Anyway, as said, they both got fed. Maya looks like a really good feeder!

Thanks for all the lovely pics Missed agonising over our beloved EJ Sure I will see a feed later Wonder if there will be #3 roday?
Morning all and thanks for all the lovely captures. Nice to see they've all had breakfast.
Just now Maya seems to be doing some housework, picking up little bits of fish from around the nest to keep everything clean while the chicks sleep
Chick 2 hatched a little earlier than we expected resulting there is not going to be much difference between #1 and #2.
I just hope that it is the same for #3 for if not, there is going to be a huge difference in size.
