Summary of the season so far:
Maya arrived back 12 March and Blue 33(11),on 14 March. The pair are currently incubating three eggs - #1 laid 28 March, #2 laid 31 March and #3 on 3 April.
Maya and 33 have incubated these eggs for 34 days now and in a few days we should see the first hatching of the season and another record broken!
Anyone going to speculate that this is a hole??

Birdies LG DU update.
Morning all and thanks for all the updates and captures.
Mike - that does look very much like a hole so I think we may very well see #3 hatch today.
Just now Maya enjoys a preen
33 has arrived with a fish
Maya takes it and makes her way to the chicks
Maya now feeds - one piece for you and of course it gets more :-)
Oh dear, the fish is still flappin
Maya was just beginning to feed the other chick when the fish, which was slipping in towards the chicks in the cup, flapped. The little chick lay down but is up again and Maya has had to move back with the fish
Maya now leans in and feeds the chicks again and now the other chick is getting its fish

Feed continues - Maya having a good nosh herself and the two chicks also
33 arrived with a clump of nesting material. He has now flown and Maya enjoys more fish.
Latest capture of egg #3
and Maya gives each chick a little more fish

ROP have tweeted a lovely clear picture showing the crack in egg #3

We were correct then Karen! Good to know.
Not me - you were Mike! Well spotted :-)
Hopefully it will hatch soon but it is so difficult to see in all that hay!
33 is on the nest and something catching his eye as wings up, and the odd screech! - Maya doesn't look too bothered!
Edit: Few minutes later and 33 again looks alert but not Maya.
Doesn't seem to be coming to anything. 33 stands and Maya continues to preen while sheltering the chicks/egg
Maya has had her head down in the nest cup fidgeting for ages. Something is clearly happening. At least she is facing the right way this time!
I don't know Mike - there is so much hay but as yet, I can't clearly see a broken shell - can you?
Same as you Karen. No clear view I'm afraid.
