Link to last post on Dyfi Osprey Project – April 2018
Summary of the season so far:
Monty arrived back 4 April. Sadly Blue 12/Glesni has not returned however a new female, Blue 3J(13) who arrived at the Dyfi around 4 April has paired up with Monty and they are now incubating three eggs - #1 laid 22 April, #2 laid 25 April and #3 on 28 April and are due to hatch later this month.
But until then, hopefully we can keep tracks on Gwynant and what he gets up to and also learn what 3J is to be called. And last but no means least, we await Ems’ tribute to Glesni and no doubt many of us will wish to post a few words here too.
Lovely evening :-)

Birdies LG DU update.
lol, Mike! He must have been watching them! But as you most likely know, Monty has been known to do a bit of snuggling next to his mate in the past. I read about his sitting down next to Nora in 2012, the year of the Olympics, the rains and of Ceulen and his siblings, trying to protect the chicks, I expect. I seem to recall a bit of snuggling with Glesni as well. I'm sure the more knowledgeable will be happy to cite chapter and verse for us!
Kind regards, Ann
Telyn totally zonked out. :-)

Monty...As I grabbed this the camera pulled back and he was sitting on the right hand branch of the camera perch. Camera then went roving round the misty landscape and captured Geese flying across. View now shows Telyn on the nest with Monty keeping watch.
A most unusual scene.

and both in view
and the cloud formation on left 'a huge intruder in full flight'
Great imagination Kate!
Morning All, a beautiful morning :-)
