Link to last post on Loch of the Lowes – April 2018
Summary of the season so far:
LF15/Lassie arrived back 20 March and LM12/Laddie on 29 March. The pair are currently incubating three eggs - #1 laid 14 April, #2 laid 16 April and #3 on 19 April and are due to hatch later this month.
Well spotted Alison. They both very defensive, could not see any ring on intruder.
and then chases
They still seem pretty agitated, so I guess the intruder hasn't left yet.
Thank you for all the updates this morning, and Alison & Kate for the captures of the drama. Seems calm on the nest now, so hopefully panic over.

Nice size fish for Lassie about an hour ago.
Alarm calls, Laddie stayed tight on the eggs.
Laddie leaves the eggs.
But he must have seen Lassie returning, as she was back seconds later.
Laddie returned, he was rearranging some sticks
Lassie decides to leave him to it.
He settles on the eggs.
Laddie arrives with a fish.
For whatever reason Lassie doesn't take the fish and she leaves.:
Laddie seemed a bit confused and takes off with the fish, leaving the eggs..
Not long after Lassie returns, but he's gone and so is the fish!
I had a look back to see if Laddie returned with the fish, and he did, but similar story to above. He arrives back with the fish.
Lassie leaves, so Laddie starts eating the fish.
Then he leaves with the fish, eggs alone, but Lassie quickly returns.
And since then doesn't look like he's been back.
Lassie is incubating. Laddie flew in about an hour or so ago but then flew again.
Birdies LG DU update.
