Our last view of EJ on Sunday included an entrancing landscape lit (info from Helen) by a full moon, with Jupiter below. (by Limpy)And now she is faceplanted into the nest, looking exhausted. © RSPB - Loch Garten and Carnyx WildYesterday saw her receiving one smallish long fish in late afternoon, and either consuming it quickly or dropping it. In any case she returned quickly to the nest. We all hope for more substantial and earlier deliveries for our Queen, or we will definitely be continuing to call him Junior.
Another event involved what seemed to be a male osprey, Blue Darvic NW3, caught expertly by the sharp-eyed Moffer (video by scylla), trying to land on the nest and being flapped away by EJ. Later, osprey alarm chirps were heard from afar. Maybe GJ chased off the intruder.
I leave with the most recent capture of the minute. It is tiring to raise a new generation and train a new mate at the same time...she rocks on the eggs in her sleep.© RSPB - Loch Garten and Carnyx Wild_______________________________________The Daily Update is for recording nest events only, allowing for banter, though—any questions or conversations can happen on the Osprey Chat thread. FISH @ 13.36
13.36 !!!!FISH!!!!
Well over-due, but it was a good sized one this time. EJ flew off with it, and GJ settles to incubate.
I snipped but clicked 'new' instead of 'save'!
So.. here is GJ incubating

Birdies LG DU update.
scylla said:FISH ???? !!!! Yeahhhh!
Couldn't miss those excited 'fish approaching' calls from EJ, coupled with the fish dance! So pleased to see a good size fish delivered by George and then straight to incubating duties :-)))
Tiger and Chloe's Osprey Info
I just looked in and see the male and no EJ!
He gets himself ready to take over incubating
I see Moffer has alerted "Fish"
Wonderful, Georgous! Thanks for that! Now just you sit there now and do your bit.
Good morning Moffer and scylla and ALL, including GJ, who could make his deliveries earlier, but today I forgive him since he brought such a nice big one to make up for yesterday.
Great video - thanks Scylla., sorry CC - it was your video but under Scylla's "Fish" post
Is it my imagination or did the cam move?
I am just wondering about roaming cam.
Hi Karen, no not your imagination. I moved my VLC stream window to accommodate my video capture window. I have a different way of doing video than scylla cos I can't record an ongoing stream. So the answer is: the CAM did NOT move, but my window DID. :-D
