Yesterday's Daily Update saw 18 pages of quite frankly Ospreytastic input. The young male who EJ has taken to, impressed us with two well sized fish deliveries. As we come into a new day, EJ is on her eggs but she has a slightly restless look. Perhaps we may see a third egg soon.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Enough already. Another one now
He stands, looking around for a few minutes and leaves
He is very Keen! though also rather clumsy. Quite endearing really...
It's almost as if someone (EJ) opened the floodgates in terms of his learning curve. This partnership is looking good.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
I have to step out. BBS
He is doing a great job, and in fairness some of his efforts to get EJ off the eggs so he can incubate, have been comedy gold thus far :-)
His enthusiasm is growing every day ..as a lurker.. I am so chuffed the way things are picking up .. a bit worried about the eggs though .. hopefully there will be another
EJ has stopped calling. She looks pooped
Nice to see you allie. I think everyone is cheering Junior on now. He is proving himself in so many ways: nest building; providing fish; mating; defending; incubating. The next test will be if/when the eggs hatch. I have to say I would feel very happy if only one chick were to successfully fledge this year, but there may yet be another egg which could definitely be attributed to Junior. Time will tell!

EJ is gently calling. I'm genuinely amazed at the versatility of Osprey vocalisations.
Away now folks, working the next 3 days, so will not be able to look in until after dinner time. Happy Osprey watching and Junior, behave and keep doing what you are doing, and stop picking and pushing EJ, she never learned you that!! Goodnight.
