A quickie new DU, as I have been unconscious for several hours.
Relatively early in the day we were encouraged by "Junior" bringing EJ half a fish - but the day went downhill from there, with no incubation and no more food.
A mystery blue-ringed male landed on EJ's back, it's unlikely we'll learn any more about him because neither we nor the VC have a clear picture of the ring number - HF0 or BF0, neither of which is on record. It will probably be referred to Roy Dennis.
Is there damage to one of the eggs, or is this something stuck on the shell?
The Daily Update is for recording nest events only, allowing for banter ;) - any questions or conversations can happen on the Osprey Chat thread. Thank you!

Thanks for starting the new DU, scylla. EJ is currently sleeping on her eggs. It looks like a calm night at LG, at moment.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
An early morning pop in! Thank you for starting the DU Scylla, and thank you Catlady for putting a link to Les's brilliant photos of life in the Forward Hide which he referred to here..
EJ is sound asleep with her head beneath her wing, there is a gentle breeze blowing both her feathers and the grass, and all is well.
She checked her eggs, and settled again

Thank you for the summary.
Birdies LG DU update.
Good morning, Mike - yes, just you and me so far :)
I listened to the likely period for skydancing, not found. However it sounded very windy even tho the nest didn't look galed about.
She's calling as if a fish is on the way but it's only Junior for mating. He's staggered off her and it still on the nest. She's calling!
He's looking at the eggs and seems preparing to incubate but we'll see...
Sorta settled but craning his neck looking around...
Up again! EJ had a poop over the back...
He's back to eggs, settled better tthiss time?
Example of my keyboard problem left uncorrected due to fed-upness.
Well that didn't last long. He's gone...hopefully fishing...she certainly told him what to do!!!!!!
