Dashed around the shops in nearby town, and bought some nice food in M&S for our trip, then met my Friend and we went to see "The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society" which was excellent. Highly recommended.
Happy Birthday to AQ, for tomorrow, as today Its already tomorrow there today.....

Snap, Lindy! I was just thinking the same thing about Australia.
Heather - sometimes it must be hard to say "no" but you know your limits and if his sister has offered then that will probable be the right place for him. Whatever you do, don't feel guilty.
Regarding myself, saw the nurse this morning and she seems satisfied with leg as do I, its beginning to heal up nicely where the break in the skin was so should be able to go swimming next week. Had to have routine bloods taken today and its always a palava as the nurse has to have at least 3 goes to get it out and then only small amounts. I have to be the awkward one!!!!
Lindybird - gathered you are off to Wales - enjoy.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY - AQ
Lynette: Do hope you can get back in the pool next week.
Lindybird: I read the book on which the movie is based and enjoyed it.
AQ: All I know is that it is/was Anzac day and that I'm earlier than usual wishing you a happy birthday.
Diane: Lovely card! So bright and cheery.
Greetings to those in today & yesterday from DownUnder where it is today already LOLOL. Thank you Linda, Diane, Lynette, & Annette for birthday wishes. Flowers most welcome as our garden is rather dry & arid, it being end of summer, and without rain no green has appeared.
I’m out to lunch with a friend whom I haven’t seen for months. Trying to find a time to catch up, we settled on today with me not thinking what day it would be! Never mind OH & I would not have done anything anyway. He did remember this morn, unlike last year when I had to place a b-card under his nose. Rather hard to forget I would say as I invited Daus & Co to afternoon tea yesterday. It being a public holiday (Anzac Day), spouses would be free. However Dau#1 & OH were away on holiday (she’s a teacher). Dau#2 & Co came after viewing the Anzac march. No one missed the pruned toys and the newly-added box of necklaces were popular. MissL insisted on “hide & seek”, enticing Grandpa to join in. He said twins hid under sheet on our bed, giggling & wriggling. Meanwhile Dau was not well, migraine probably, and they had to leave early. I started on chocs last night.
AQ - a very happy birthday, although by the time you read this it will probably feel like a distant memory!
After a few lovely days last week it's back to cold and windy again today. The weather's gone mad! Off to see tulips at Standen today, if they haven't all blown away.
