Yesterday's Daily Update saw some some gripping action, including the return of sound, a couple of fish deliveries and much much more. Here's to today being a great day for EJ the Phenomenal and her mate. Here's to that young Osprey continuing to improve. I personally believe in him and think that he will get better and better. I suppose it’s hard for a young male Osprey not to be a bit starstruck by EJ.

Oh! He's flown!
IMAGICAT
This is one time where I definitely don't want to see a corvid of any kind.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
I wonder how many intruders are still about? They will undoubtedly hamper fishing efforts.
EJ's back with no fish left
She's back:

I thought it was much bigger at first sight :( Do you think the difficulty of fishing in this wind (which has been strong and blustery for days) is causing him to eat more of the fish that he does catch, because by then he's very hungry?
Anyway, here's the skydance (cut off by a freeze) and fish delivery - I changed my mind and took off the defence, will do it separately.

Due to multi-nest-tasking madness i missed the fish-delivery, but found “junior” on the nest alone, as reported above, twigging and alarm calling. The intruder situation is a tad worrying. Maybe he needs to curve-learn on that account as well, to move them all out of the territory?!

2016: first time in history an Osprey nested in the NL. 2018: 2 active nests! 2019 a storm interferes. 2020: a third active nest in a tree!

He’s getting there I think but it would be nice to see him bringing bigger fish. It would be interesting to know where he fishes. That might make a difference as well as the windy weather.
