HAPPY NEW WEEK!

I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Next Friday is Friday the 13th! LOL

I don't have a picture for this week, but some might be interested in this very short video. Just the other day, a 5.3 earthquake occurred in Southern California near Annette. The quake startled the daylights out of a bald eagle who was on a high nest with three chicks. No birds were harmed!

Hope you're okay, Annette!

  • Went to see sis-in-law and my OH put up some wall baskets in the garden for her, and helped with a curtain track she needed. She is settling well and enjoying her new home.

I got a haircut, too.  I don't know why mine costs three times as much as my OHs, except that they wash mine first!

  • Lindy - My Oh gets a reduced price haircut for senior citizens on certain days, but it is still expensive. I think they charge a search fee, as he does not have very much!

Sorry to read about OG's and Annette's bumps and bruises.  Hope they do not last too long.

I saw the sun a couple of times last week.  I recognised the yellow colour. Mostly rain and cloud and more rain, though. A couple of days ago, when the sun appeared, I saw the end of a rainbow. I didn't find the fabled crock of gold, because it ended in the middle of the river. It made my day, though.

Sorry that AQ is baking again. Where would we live for the perfect climate?

  • Rosy -- I still have a childish pleasure in seeing a rainbow. One of those things which can still be bewitching, even in the middle of a busy day. We've had our share of more rain today, after yesterday's sunshine.

My OH is blessed with a full head of hair, which is now steel grey all over. How lucky men are that it doesn't seem to age them! - at least, not in the same way. He gets pensioners rates for his haircut, but is mean about paying for it, all the same, so he either looks very scalped when they cut a lot off, or very woolly, for a couple of weeks, when he puts off going again! In between, it looks OK for about 3 or 4 weeks.

  • I'm trying to see the LG webcam but having no luck through RSPB or Camry (direct).  I'm using Google Chrome but also have Cortana (Windows 10) and no luck on either browser.

Aches and creaks not a big deal. More later.  :-)

  • Sadly, they've been having a lot of problems with the LG cam, Annette. Rather frustrating.

    Good Morning, Everyone!

A busy day ahead: we have decided to head for Wales this weekend, but tomorrow have a lot of travel for the funeral of my cousin's husband. So, packing for our weekend today, then rising extra early tomorrow for our long journey south. Also Bonnie has a rearranged appointment for her annual jabs and M.O.T., at the vets.

Hope everyone has a good day.

  • Noticed LG communication problem - but couldn't even get onto RSPB forums last evening - only tried once so don't know how long it went on.

LINDA - safe travel down south and back tomorrow - hope it goes as well as such things can.  Hope Bonnie passes her MoT!

ROSY - liked the idea of a search fee for thinning hair!  I too still get excited at the sight of rainbows.

Must get ready for hospital trip - dreading the parking chaos there!  Weather should stay dry, although cloudy.

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • Good afternoon, all.  I've just signed up to do a sponsored walk in June - it's in aid of fundraising for Parkinson's UK.

    Limpy was diagnosed last year.

If anyone would like to sponsor me here's a link to my Just Giving page.  I'm going to be asking everyone I can think of to support me (and Limpy).

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • Well done Clare and sorry to hear about Limpy's diagnosis.

  • CLARE - didn't know about poor Limpy's diagnosis - as if he hasn't enough to put up with!  Where will you be doing the walk?

All well at my clinic appt today - usual follow-up again next year.  Had a good lunch at garden centre and bought just a few wee plants to bring on for summer.
