Much more to-ing and fro-ing from EJ on the nest yesterday, stickifying and searching the skies for her Potential Prince (cue the music Limpy thoughtfully provided for her). Maybe as more osprey move north, the possibilities will increase. Tomorrow is another day, and hopefully she is snoozing watchfully near the nest until the morning arrives and she can greet the Breakfast Club._______________________________________The Daily Update thread is for recording nest events only—any questions or conversations can happen on the Osprey Chat thread. The blue ring is on the left leg.

That's what I thought with my magnifier.

Well at any rate, it is just two figures and not three on that blue ring.
SCYLLA - BMM - What a record you have of intrusions 2017. Never knew this existed. A great piece of work. Saved it and Thanks.
Oh no, Just what we feared would happen! Looks like blue 08 to me too. All gone quiet.
I may be wrong, but I think that they have found that 'necklace' plumage can vary year to year - it is the markings on the crown of the head that can be used to identify individuals with a fair degree of accuracy.
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

I also think Blue 08. Left leg would indicate this is a Scottish bird and by size/necklace and aggression, I would think female.
Yes, it's BNN who must be credited and sincerely thanked for her public records!

Thank you for that info, CRinger! I shan't forget it :)

Thank you for that info, CRinger! I shan't forget it :) [/quote] And you've reminded me of the doubt and dispute over Odin's ID in the past, due in part to variation in his breast marking. Ahem! One for Osprey Chat, but too much trouble to copy/paste on a different thread! IMAGICAT
