Much more to-ing and fro-ing from EJ on the nest yesterday, stickifying and searching the skies for her Potential Prince (cue the music Limpy thoughtfully provided for her). Maybe as more osprey move north, the possibilities will increase. Tomorrow is another day, and hopefully she is snoozing watchfully near the nest until the morning arrives and she can greet the Breakfast Club._______________________________________The Daily Update thread is for recording nest events only—any questions or conversations can happen on the Osprey Chat thread. Flown again.
Second episode:
IMAGICAT
I am pleased she returned so early. She has had nearly two weeks to settle in after her migration and she will be in good shape.
EJ buzzed, but only fly-by of intruder seen:

BLUE DARVIC & UNRINGED INTRUDERS IN LOCH GARTEN IN 2017

Anyone yet been able to use software to be able to confirm the blue leg ring today? Just read the excellent post and link above...... CT6 would be a logical deduction as she has visited before, knows where the nest is and last year was probably a non breeding female judging by the dates of her visits last year.
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

Looks like "Blue 08" to me :-/ I don't recall (shall check 2017 in a minute) CT6 having that necklace.
I didn't think it looked like CT6, looks darker chest could be wrong though I usually am :)

Me too - if it is are there records around yet?
Looks like "Blue08" to me :-/
Interesting! I think Blue 08 was a 2009 Rutland bird? I believe it was thought to have been a male when it was ringed.
