Much more to-ing and fro-ing from EJ on the nest yesterday, stickifying and searching the skies for her Potential Prince (cue the music Limpy thoughtfully provided for her). Maybe as more osprey move north, the possibilities will increase. Tomorrow is another day, and hopefully she is snoozing watchfully near the nest until the morning arrives and she can greet the Breakfast Club._______________________________________The Daily Update thread is for recording nest events only—any questions or conversations can happen on the Osprey Chat thread. Thank you!

It's absolutely disgusting here. No snow, though.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

At least it isn't as bad as it was for EJ on 25th April 2017Anyone remember her sat on 3 Eggs through this?
I think that has become one of the most iconic photos of her, even though you can only see a tiny part of her.
Morning all - thanks for all the captures but I am sick of the sight of snow! And more forecast today/this week.
But at least looking at Alan's sightings that there are many more ospreys arriving now so hopefully a suitable male will show up here soon for EJ.

I also hope EJ doesn't have to wait much longer for a suitable male.

No - it's VLC magic, Clare ;)
I did a vid of EJ's second landing, she's copper-gold:
This is what happens when I do it in my video editor, it chops off the bottom a bit.
EJ just had a big flap and flew off.

That's one thing to be said for the snow - it really shows off her beautiful colours.

It is forecast over much of Scotland but at the moment none at Loch Arkaig or Loch of the Lowes. Ian
EDIT - I forgot my manners, morning everyone. Ian
