Sorry ready to leave for Florida and all my records are away. From what I remember 1J was sighted and photographed near Cádiz in Spain. This was January 2016 so assumed he wintered thereabouts.
Thanks, Keith--have a fabulous time in Florida! I saw an Osprey nest with parents feeding chicks in the Intercoastal (or is it Intracoastal?) waterway the last time I was anywhere near Florida, but not THAT near--on Okracoke Island off the North Carolina coast in about 1990!
Kind regards, Ann
I did say George today gone tomorrow. I have never had any confidence in the LG nest this year since EJ landed. I was hoping for a fresh start at this nest.
Yes, you, me and many others, Keith. It is sad, but I hope EJ takes care of herself. And I will be truly amazed if she returns in 2019 and I find it very difficult to watch events there now.
I hope you manage to see the Pink Shell Beach nest.
Keith, welcome once again to this side of the great Atlantic Ocean or in Scot/British English to this side of "the pond" and to my time zone EST Eastern Standard Time.
Ann, Like Keith I am headed out, but not nearly so far. Your post will take longer to answer, so please excuse me as I postpone answering.
also just fount Keith's short note which I will answer later.
June, Not to worry, I'm probably off to bed soon. I do not expect instant replies, especially as I am usually slow to reply myself and sometimes forget completely, sadly!
Not in your time till tomorrow June. Fly direct from Glasgow.
Yes will get to Estoril Island as I pass through going onto Sanibel and Captiva. Visited pink Shell last time out at fledge time. All the Ospreys will be fledging or fledged now in Florida.
Sounds lovely, Keith. Maybe the sun will return here when you do!
