When I first read your post on Gabfest, I followed your link, found the Glaslyn cam and recorded this picture. I made another just moments ago, but have lost it somewhere. I will now make another.
This is current. I have now added the Glaslyn nest cam to my "favorites" where I can reach the nest with a click of the button. I have been hearing bits & pieces of this nest for some time now, but have never followed through. Now that I have some personal connection to anchor it in my mind I will make some effort to follow it some.
I am VERY IMPRESSED with your plans to volunteer here laster this summer. I do hope that you will keep THE GABFEST informed of your plans and adventures. Surely it will be a good, fun and rewarding experience for you. I'm looking forward to hearing updates .
at 9pm it is getting dark, but nitelites are not yet on. I haven't tuned in to the nest much today. I hope EJ has been fed. Just after this picdture was name EJ rose in place, giving us a view of one egg only, fiddled around a bit then settled back in place.
June, Not to worry. Rather, I apologise for nagging you to respond! Anyhow, glad to hear you will be looking at the Glaslyn nest on occasion. We visited both Glaslyn and Dyfi last year and since Dyfi had more than enough volunteers, we opted for Glaslyn. But we will definitely visit both as many times as we can while we are on holiday there. My fingers are crossed that it will not be too many years before Ospreys begin nesting near Poole Harbour (they began translocating juvenile Ospreys to Poole last year and will continue to do that for several more years). Once Ospreys are nesting there we will concentrate on seeing them since they will then be the nearest nests to where we live.
Kind regards, Ann
I just made a few stops around the osprey world . None of them in any way exciting or spectacular. This first is the Hellgate nest in Montana, USA. This is two time ones west of me, so it is 10:20 pm there and very dark. Seems they don't have night lights.

The camera at GLASLYN certainly is perfectly placed. Couldn't ask for better.
Lassie, I believe, at Lock of the Lowes.
DYFI just barely visible in the approaching dawn.
the first nest I visited and the last was - guess where - LG of course. this is the most current picture. , cropped view.
