SURPRISE!
Now EJ is still standing over her egg, struggling against the hefty wind, with what looks like darts of light (rain, I suppose) falling past her.

Did anyone ever bring EJ a fish?
Not that we (or the VC) knows off. She did seem to grab a part- fish from one of the new males, which was taken off the nest again shortly after. Not a proper “fish-offeringl.
2016: first time in history an Osprey nested in the NL. 2018: 2 active nests! 2019 a storm interferes. 2020: a third active nest in a tree!
How about an 'appropriate song competition' for the day to cheer us all up?
Here's a starter. 'I just don't know what to do with myself' (lyrics by Bacharach/David) I've got the Dusty Springfield version in my head)
(c) RSPB Loch Garten
Many times songs appropriate to the occasion pop into my head, but now I can't think of one for this occasion.. Not a cheerful one anyway. The only line that comes to mind is "I'M SO LONESOME I COULD CRY".
So here it is - - a Pity-Party song that pretty well fits my mood and I wonder if it might not describe EJ's emotions, IF she had emotions of course.
IS SHE EATING? Every time I tune in I get this same picture, which could be a rerun of the last time. Yet, even though I check in frequently, I often miss action. Has anyone brought her fish? I doubt it. Has she left long enough to fish for herself? Doesn't seem so, but I could be wrong..
Sorry, June, Cannot help. I am just as much in the dark as you are.
Kind regards, Ann
