You have pretty well expressed my own thoughts. Yes, the mystery is definitely part of the fascination.
FROM FACEBOOK
I'm still seeing only an empty nest and apparently EJ has not been seen anywhere. I must say, I'm more than a wee bit worried. I don't know what time she was last seen yesterday, but it must be close to 24 hours now. How long do we wait before I go into panic mode??
To top it off my "media insert" won't accept my pictures.
Back after a few days away, including at the RSPB Members' Weekend in Nottingham. Thanks to everyone for posting photos and updates, much appreciated! Exciting news for EJ and perhaps Lassie at Lowes might lay her first egg for this year tonight? No Glesni though but Monty not hanging about I see. And a few osps at Aberfoyle too.
It finally let me post this picture I've been trying to post since 5:29.
FROM FACEBOOK a week or so back.
I'll post you a card with one on but I think I will be in US before that card :) so maybe best post it from my favourite osprey haunt Sanibel and Captiva FL.
Suggested names have been onto the Osprey Chat Thread June.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Thanks for this hint, Catlady. I have checked it out. The LG staff have always claimed the right to name the birds and so it should be, in my opinion. They have always found good and appropriate names, often with the help of nearby school children. I am sure they will do so for our new male when the proper time comes.
