EJ Is now on the nest. Another day, another snow. Still snowing, now appearing as snowflakes, not long streaks.
EJ must be on the nest more frequently now, or maybe I am just lucky at the times I tune in, but I have been seeing her several times each day. Whereas previously I did not lay eyes on her at all for several days. The snow on nest comes and goes. It currently has some, but much less than in above picture.
The snow has been coming and going today in Scotland. Bad tomorrow but relief after Thursday onwards.
Don't think there has been any sign of yesterdays intruder so maybe EJ has chased her away.
Birdy Num Num has kindly given me her link to summaries she does for the nest and Carnyx and as I can only look in occasionally I will look at the summary to catch up at the end of the day.
I have not made it to LOTL since returning from Greece on Sunday due to the inclement weather but hope to get up between Thursday and Saturday. At least they have a pairing home. First look at ospreys since watching them on the Oman Coast November 2017.
The cam picture has turned green. The snow has stopped, at least for the moment, but the nest is really piled high.
No snow at the moment and I see some blue sky.

I haven't see EJ all day. Being the worrier that I am, I checked DU for news. They are saying that she has not been seen since she left the nest at 1521 (3:21 am Ohio time). Yes, now I am quite concerned. Praying that she is OK and will soon return to her nest, at least by her usual morning appearance tomorrow if not sooner
Sheltering in Abernethy Forrest I presume.
Given the atrociuos weather today there is no need for her to be exposed on the nest. Just nearby if needed.
June, I was just thinking the same thing as Keith--I wonder if EJ may have been sitting on a perch not visible to the camera, one more sheltered than the nest itself, considering the weather there.
Kind regards, Ann
June, Two photos of EJ have been posted on the DU--have a look!
