As we have had a monthly thread for Glaslyn since 2016, I have started the thread for April.

I hope we get an Easter present today with the arrival of Mrs.G or Aran, it is always such a relief when they return.
At the moment it is an Empty Nest.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Good morning Clare.

Birdies LG DU update.
Hi, Mike!

I saw that, Mike, and wondered if it was from the Pont Croesor nest (will we see that one, I wonder?) - so where was this?
CLARE, I have expressed 'concern' over that high barrier of fixed sticks already, the birds have no chance to build up their own fences, it seems very frustrating for them - apart from being hazardous as we have now seen.
MC. The bird was in one of the trees in the line closest to the nest but slightly to the right. The camera has an area of blurring in the bottom right corner where the perch obstructs the view.
Just after I got this capture they pulled back but before I could get it the bird flew and they returned to the nest view.
Thanks Mike :)
Thank you for doing that video Scylla, it doesn’t happen often, but it needs documenting if possible. Hard to see but great, as in clear, material.
And i praise mrs G for staying so calm, taking breaks in solving how to get freed again. Well done her!
2016: first time in history an Osprey nested in the NL. 2018: 2 active nests! 2019 a storm interferes. 2020: a third active nest in a tree!
Mrs G is enjoying a fish on the nest perch. She has several feathers out of place--has she been fighting? Are they her feathers or the feathers of another bird?
Kind regards, Ann
