EJ gave us great views, including a keeper that greeted Mike yesterday morning (below). We are still waiting for a suitable suitor (hehe, that was for scylla). She reported that the pine marten did indeed show up in the late evening. Maybe s/he read my start to yesterday's DU thread (now maybe renamed DO, I suppose). Also VERY notable is BNN's master document that lists a history of threads for the various nests. Check it out and bookmark it!________________________________________
Daily Observations thread is for recording nest events only—any questions or conversations can happen on the Osprey Chat thread. Thank you!

Morning again all, what will happen today then, will the lady grace us with her presence for at least a little time! I sill have to see her live yet!! Great to hear that the boys are making their way home, WHO will arrive at LG. Catch you all later.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Morning all and thank you for all your observations! I hope nobody feels that they can’t freely ask a question here and get an answer, along with the suggestion that there will be lots of help on the Osprey Chat for further advice. There are excellent daily summaries for people who don’t want to trawl through pages of information and I would really miss the occasional banter and slightly “off thread” chat. Hope EJ gets some company today.
'If it ain't broke don't fix it' comes to mind!
Birdies LG DU update.
I suspect she'll appear for a good, long time this afternoon. Limpy and I will be at the hospital!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

I've got to assume that EJ is spending at least some of her time checking out the local area to see if any suitable males have returned. If that's the case then I would hope she's spending the rest of her time fishing and chilling out somewhere. She had a tough season last year and it would make sense for her to make the most of her current peace and quiet.
EJ not on the perch below the nest. Not seen so far by the staff working on setting up the centre.
Always good to have a plan B Clare :-)
But I think EJ will be close by guarding her territory . It is reassuring that she has arrived back early and getting herself into peak condition as I do suspect she will have to see off CT6. But I am confident she will. CT6 may be young but EJ is an experienced, tough cookie.
I think she's on the campost again, some little chirps.
I've got the early one but Windows Updates are stymying me >:(
