Her Royal Minxness kept us waiting yesterday, whiling away the time with a fish under the nest.

No reports of any other osprey in the immediate area, but EJ is concentrating on readying the nest - she's looking very eager to get on with her mission.

IMAGICAT
Evening, Everyone. Just spent half the evening reading the DU for today--normally I only have time to dip in. What a gorgeous array of pics and comments--thanks! I agree with Catlady--please post as many snaps as you like, Clare (and Everyone else!) Last year's experience tells me that you never know when it might be the last time you'll ever see one of these beautiful birds so the more the merrier.
Jess, thanks for your post. Shame about the camera but with luck all will be well sometime tomorrow. Should we take up a collection for more gaffer tape?--lol!
Kind regards, Ann

A very lovely collection, Scylla, thanks for posting!
My hubby is a police officer and they use very strong plastic handcuffsil take some of those when we go in May to use in place of gaffer tape lol
lol, Andrea, but I'm not sure handcuffs are much good at preventing water getting into the works!
Oh lord above I thought ya wanted to secure part of the camera lol then again I am blonde lol
lol, Andrea! Sorry, cuffs might work but I was just being silly! I have no idea what the actual problem is--might be mechanical as you surmise, might be electrical, might be something else! Anyhoo, fingers crossed that all is solved tomorrow.
You carry on being silly it keeps us all going!! X
