Well folks, its been an exciting day despite the weather. The middle chick increased its wing exercising and almost went this afternoon but no, it was this evening at about 19.37pm that it fledged. Alison posted a link on the main blog. In case anyone missed it , it is: www.youtube.com-watch Its only short but it shows clearly it taking off.
At present we don't know where it is. The eldest and youngest are on the nest with we hope middle one on a tree sheltering from the wind. Only the morning will tell and hopefully when there is a fish delivery it will come back onto the nest
The eldest has had a few forays out into the big wide world also but #3 is still at home but has been practising. What will tomorow bring??

Hs #2 joined in the feeding or has #1 flown back in for more?
I presume that was Greedy Guts #1 that flew in for a top-up of fish?

Evening evva, so pleased you are enjoying joining us on here.
Thanks Emma, I thought it was Titch, but nice to have it confirmed. It has been a funny day on here.

Joan, I can't believe #1 has room for any more.
Hi evva. :-) Glad you like it here.Started a post about who was on the nest and then there was a number of landings and take off that my rediculously slow typing speed couldn't keep up with. All three youngsters now on the nest with EJ.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.

Its so difficult to ID them now isn't it? You have to be watching for a bit and eventually their characteristics give them away..LOL. I have been watching most of today and reading the blog at the same time. Lets not mention the 'intruder'. Golly, that bloomin' wind is getting up again.
Welcome evva nice to have you with us!
On your previous comment we have had a lot of practice!
It is a comfort to know even the center is having trouble identifying them this year
It appears the fledge score stands at # 1 & 2 definitely ; #3 is a maybe LOL
Just logged in to see EJ serving fish . I missed the "pass the fish game " I wish I had seen that.
Good grief now EJ is hauling the fish around the nest to each chick to fed them . That is dedication
Is it just my observation or is EJ looking a bit tired? She has had a heavy work load this season.
THANKS for all the reports and pics!!

Now that the fish has gone, they are wandering artound the nest ... like teenagers who are bored!
I love the way when EJ flew off just there, the youngsters all looked as if they where saying: "Wow! I wish I could take off as skillfully as mum."
