Well folks, its been an exciting day despite the weather. The middle chick increased its wing exercising and almost went this afternoon but no, it was this evening at about 19.37pm that it fledged. Alison posted a link on the main blog. In case anyone missed it , it is: www.youtube.com-watch Its only short but it shows clearly it taking off.
At present we don't know where it is. The eldest and youngest are on the nest with we hope middle one on a tree sheltering from the wind. Only the morning will tell and hopefully when there is a fish delivery it will come back onto the nest
The eldest has had a few forays out into the big wide world also but #3 is still at home but has been practising. What will tomorow bring??

Well, as Odin has not appeared with dinner, in spite of all the GEMs complaints, its time for the
Teatime Fish List:
1st fish today from Odin at 6.16am, then EJ at 6.49am, followed by Odin at 9.36ish, and again at 11.37am.
4 Fish so far today.
Half of me is deferring to watcher2's certainty, the other half says I'm doubtful. The clip shows the osp's face quite clearly at 2:50 and 4:55 and again at 8:10 minutes, and I can't see the head markings Cirrus describes as a delta. That's apart from me thinking it looked very competent for a first go. I dare say we'll get the official version at some point. Although, looking at it again, perhaps I can....oh dear, sorry to be so vague...

Is this where I sign up for the "Lost the Plot" group?! (Sorry, a Weekly Chat sub-group!) :-))
Two bairns on the nest, the eldest could very well be on the cam post.
I do not believe that was chick #3 flying off in watcher2's video. It was almost certainly chick #2 and chick #3 was on the right of the two chicks left on the nest.

I'll see whether this works. Yes it does. Click on the icon and it will take you to it. The url it gave seems not to work so try this.
Its been a very confusing day, Annette!
Here are the two bairns as Lynette says, the other one is prob on the post at present - all waiting for dinner.
Thanks for the video Lynette it works! well done.
Well done Lynette, another string to your bow (as an ex-boss of mine used to say every time he dumped another job on me!) Seriously, good job, don't they look funny, all sitting there waiting for someone to do something, preferably feed them.
Loch Garten have given their opinion on the main blog!
