Well folks, its been an exciting day despite the weather. The middle chick increased its wing exercising and almost went this afternoon but no, it was this evening at about 19.37pm that it fledged. Alison posted a link on the main blog. In case anyone missed it , it is: www.youtube.com-watch Its only short but it shows clearly it taking off.
At present we don't know where it is. The eldest and youngest are on the nest with we hope middle one on a tree sheltering from the wind. Only the morning will tell and hopefully when there is a fish delivery it will come back onto the nest
The eldest has had a few forays out into the big wide world also but #3 is still at home but has been practising. What will tomorow bring??

'Morning AQ and once more thanks to Lynette for starting the thread today - sleep well Annette. Hello Tiger Gary and Ghengis. Well, what a day we all had yesterday - ! We both missed the fledging Ghengis but I hope you caught it on Alison's (main blog) video. Will Youngest go today ????
EJ is just standing there with talon on fish. She & two GEMS have had sufficient. I wonder where the third GEM is. And has he had breakfast.
Good morning all and what a relief to read that the middle one has returned safe and well and also that 2 fish have been delivered this morning. I read that it has been showing off by flying again as well. Titch can't be far behind now. Not even looked at the cam yet as I wanted to see if anyone had posted sightings of the middle one. Am out for most of the day and part of the evening so will not be able to keep up with things. (shame). Off to see another dance show, have to make sure next year that nothing is booked whilst ospreys are with us. Have a good day all.
Thanks to all for pics and all the observations through the night, always enjoy reading them.
Margobird
Enjoy your day Margobird - I'm out shortly hiking so we'll both have to rely on the posts and pics today to see if Youngest fledges. Good news all round though isn't it.
Came on to find EJ and 2 youngsters on the nest - but which ones??? !!
Glad to read, above, that No. 2 has returned safely.
Here is EJ in what sun there is on the nest this morning, with the two. Have a good day both margobird & Cirrus.....
