RSPB have advised the live stream is to go live this weekend so it shouldn’t be too long now until we get our first glimpse of the nest.

Hopefully we’ll see the beautiful EJ return soon to her nest and long may she reign.
But until then, a thread to record all our observations until the ospreys arrive and the DU starts.
Wow Scylla .. honestly, I don't know how you do it all but so much appreciated.

Torvill and Dean, Tiger? Who knew that Ospreys went skating?--lol! What?...That's not it?!
Kind regards, Ann
You are one smart lady Scylla. It is much appreciated by everyone, I'm sure.
Torvill and Dean? Bolero? Which also featured in the 1979 film '10' where a man (Dudley Moore) is seduced by a woman (Bo Derek), dancing to Ravel's Bolero. Except in that case, she was younger than him. And EJ is certainly older than CT6. Maybe I'm over-thinking this........

It was Lillehammer 1994. The one won by Grisuk and Platoff. Of course all the talk was about Harding and Kerrigan in other ice skating.

Hello again my fellow Ospreyholics
Thanks for all the updates etc. I'm determined to remain positive about EJ returning for another season. To be honest I don't really want to dwell on last season because it started really well, then tragically fell away. Totally understandable why EJ left early. With no reason to stay of the nest, she had every right to go and get her talons re-sharpened, and her binocular vision serviced. It would have also gave her time to commendere that fish counter for a bit longer before heading south.
Whatever happens I really hope that 2018 is successful breeding season, with arrivals, laying, fishing, hatches, and fledging being to points of excitement. Although I imagine I'll have to fasten the seat belt, and stick on the crash helmet. Okay that's enough of me rambling. All quiet on the nest just now, awaiting arrival. Really nice picture this year.
Paul.
