RSPB have advised the live stream is to go live this weekend so it shouldn’t be too long now until we get our first glimpse of the nest.

Hopefully we’ll see the beautiful EJ return soon to her nest and long may she reign.
But until then, a thread to record all our observations until the ospreys arrive and the DU starts.
Great to see you back for another season, Paul - and I can totally agree with what you've said.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

Checking in for the morning shift. It is not often that I am awake at this time.
Hello Mike and Clare.

Good morning, Tiger - are you all right?
EJ has never arrived before 21st MarchEJ Profile
Hi Tiger. Good to see you.
Birdies LG DU update.
Look at 2016, though, and it shows the only am time. I bet she arrived on the afternoon or evening of the previous day.
Morning all, Just started raining in Nethy and set to be wet all day. We visited a few areas yesterday where Ospreys are known to fish but all quiet. Aviemore Lochan was covered in a layer of ice but temperatures are gradually rising. OH convinced he saw two Ospreys, over the house, but on closer look they were Buzzards! Ah well, they can’t be far away.
Nice to hear from you, Pam! Sorry about the forecast - I hope it's better tomorrow.
Good morning, everyone!
I've been thru last evening and the night and found no nest activities ;(

No crazy-coloured transition like we had last year but I'm not complaining!
I thought we had a dead critter at the back-right of the nest but it turned out to be a blown-up stick, it's been quite breezy:
What a great picture we have since it's been lightened, can't wait to see new osprey colours, especially EJ's :-*
Looks like we've been pooped on already >:(
