RSPB have advised the live stream is to go live this weekend so it shouldn’t be too long now until we get our first glimpse of the nest.

Hopefully we’ll see the beautiful EJ return soon to her nest and long may she reign.
But until then, a thread to record all our observations until the ospreys arrive and the DU starts.

Morning All - so the pine martin is still around! well captured Scylla.
Last night I was getting a thin line running across the bottom of my screen and again this morning - thin line coming from right. Just now, I have had a thick band. - Capture:

Yes, that's one of the 'patterns' I've seen.
Thank you, everyone, for feedback, it's very reassuring :)
Ian - having told you to use Chrome or IE11, now I can't get a picture in either :-/ I'm OK in Opera on the laptop that's being recorded.
Frost? I hadn't thought of that! Don't think that accounts for it tho. I'm waiting for something-past-ten to compare with a snap from last year.

I haven't got my snaps from last year because that laptop's at the mender's.
No video from the same day, obviously nothing was happening ;)
Near-as-dammit:
Got the live screen up, a bird arrives and I couldn't remember how to SS on VLC. By the time I figured it out it was just leaving LOL.
Good job it wasn't an Osprey!
Now I can't find the pic, oh well I'm sure scylla has one. Not a good start for me.
Edit: Omg took me 20 mins to find it!

A big difference Scylla! A lovely clear picture, but a bit duller, it is so difficult to know what the true viewing should be like, light, sunshine, clouds, all I know is that we are going to be in for some nail biting viewing!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

That's what I thought, Starling, when I saw all the glitches interfering with it :'(
A Jay (what's its full name, please?).
Brightened a bit - it stayed at the back of the nest.
Here you are MC. Full details
Birdies LG DU update.
Looks like a stunning day up in Scotland with blue sky and hardly any wind - not like here in freezing snowy Dorset. Hmmmm
Hi, Arrived in Nethy and it’s a glorious day here. We’re about two miles from LG and there’s no snow at all at low level. Cairngorms look stunning with snow covered slopes and a backdrop of clear blue sky. Not a breath of wind so perfect conditions for Osprey arrivals! Theyll need to bring their fur coats with them though as it’s about -3C!!
