RSPB have advised the live stream is to go live this weekend so it shouldn’t be too long now until we get our first glimpse of the nest.

Hopefully we’ll see the beautiful EJ return soon to her nest and long may she reign.
But until then, a thread to record all our observations until the ospreys arrive and the DU starts.
Packing up now to travel back to The Dales. The rest of the set up will be done remotely. Quite a dusting of snow this morning but all gone now...... For a while.....
Safe journey Peter. Thanks for all you've done.
Birdies LG DU update.

We should be able to see some hinterland at night.

I am getting an intermittent picture, is the Carnyx site the best to use? I don't have VLC installed. Ian
Really clear picture. Thanks to all involved. I am sure you will solve the “noise” problems. Very curious to see what comes to pass on the nest.
Hi Scylla nice to see still here with us
How exciting, Thank you Peter, Roll on the 2018 season and the return of EJ and Odin. Note the positivity!

Great to see the nest again and thanks Peter for your input.
Kind regards

Woo Hoo! What a sight for sore eyes that is - now all we need is some suitable adornment.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
