The watchers/volunteers must have control Mary as there have been at least three different views so far this morning and from different directions.
Birdies LG DU update.
Very windy here again and as on other nests today. View right now:
2016: first time in history an Osprey nested in the NL. 2018: 2 active nests! 2019 a storm interferes. 2020: a third active nest in a tree!
wiggle wriggle, neck stretching and watching over the edge, wriggle, and egg turning
a tad restless.
Foulshaw twitter feed is telling us they kind of expect the second egg today.
from this angle the eggcup is too deep to spot an egg. from her “rolling” the egg(s) i would guess: still one at this time.
Just now, and watching watching in the direction of the fish-source...
@9:39 pretty alert
And with the wider view only minutes later, i could see corvids flying about behind the nest, fast like the wind. I suspected such indeed.
@8:05 YW arrived on the nest. 35 is not moving, she seems very comfortable, no break needed.
ok, wot next? twigging? flapping. (for a male he’s got good legs! sadly not pressed click at the right moment...)
oh well, nothing to do for me here.
a bit later she got up, turned her egg(s), he flew past in the background above the reeds at high speed, and she settled again.
