The purpose of this thread is to record the day-to-day activity at the Manton Bay nest thus freeing up the Rutland Osprey Project 2018 thread for general news on all the other birds, nests and projects.
Details about the Manton Bay nest, including a table of the breeding data, can be found here.
Last year we were thrilled to see both Maya and Blue 33(11) return within hours of each other on the 22 March and I am sure I speak for us all in wishing them both a safe journey home and for another successful season at Manton Bay.

I had this too in Safari. You may need to forget the previous favourite or bookmark and set a new one by using the webcam link on the Rutland website to get the 2018 webcam. This worked for me.

Or the link on page one of this thread? Ian
Indeed, Ian, thanks. (As I’m new here, could you tell me how to quote another post in a reply? I know this probably isn’t the right thread to ask such things but I don’t know my way around the forum very well yet!)
Just seen on FB that Maya has returned - is that really early or about right for her. Hopefully it means others are on their way.

Good morning, MARY :-* !!!
I have yet to check if there's been a touchdown that I've missed due to no sound and eyes elsewhere ;)
And here she is !!!

Good Morning SCYLLA - ahhhh just like old times eh! :-)
I cannot believe I missed Maya, must have turned my back for a few minutes, been watching since after 5.
You were not so slow though, you were ready with the record button, great to see her pay an early morning visit, probably checking to see what work needs to be done to the nest. LOL....
