Here is the thread you have been waiting on. The book opens now and will close at noon on Thursday 15 March 2018
Predictions should be in three parts
1. The day and date of EJ's arrival on the Loch Garten nest. Or will she turn up at all?
2. The time of day (make sure your time is not ambiguous)
3. Will EJ be carrying a fish?
So let the guessing begin.
One guess per forum member. Best of luck everyone.
Previous return dates for EJ are to be found here
EJ arrived at 4.45pm on Thursday 23 March 2017 but kept away from the nest.
Tiger Signature
Good morning, Tiger. Here's hoping that Her Beautifulness will arrive on Sunday 25th March at 5.15pm, with the inevitable fish.
There are very few things I wish for even more than seeing this particularly special bird back here, to raise all of our spirits.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Thank You, Tiger.
I predict that EJ will arrive on the 25th of March, but not land on the nest until 26th March at 12.45pm. No fish.
I predict Saturday 24th at 4.30pm with fish!
Here's hoping she'll arrive Thursday 22nd of March at 16.45 with a fish.
Kind regards
Jenny
Am I going to be the first pessimist to say I don’t think she will come back? I really really hope I am proven wrong though!
Rusty, I am sorry to say that I think the same as you, also hoping to be proved wrong. Ian
EJ will land on the nest on Saturday, 31 March at 1:36 p.m. She will not have a fish.
EJ will land on her nest with a fish on Tuesday, March 27th at 3:45 p.m.
Thank you Tiger, I think that the Her Magesty, the beautiful girl herself will arrive back at LG. I am with Clare, don't wish so much for anything, but this special girl, YES.
EJ will return on 23rd March @ 5.15pm with a fish.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
If EJ arrives, it will be on Tuesday the 27th of March at 5.45pm with a fish. I hope she will turn up, but she may not--must be realistic, sadly.
Perhaps we should also have a 'first Osprey on the nest guess', Tiger!
Kind regards, Ann
