Thought I'd give Diane a break this week. Sorry, no pretty pic, but here's a link - posted by Gardenbirder late Saturday - to a funny BBC page re the Wales earthquake: http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-43100524 :-))
I've just looked at the page for the P&O Caribbean cruise and there looks to be some cabins still available - outside with restricted view or balcony ones.

RSPB Giving Nature a Home
Annette - sounds like a romantic wedding and so simple.
Good morning, all. Off to Minsmere today - yay!
It feels massively weird being the first poster of today - where is everyone?
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Good Morning. I'm still here, Clare!
Both went to bed weary after much discussion, trawling of the Web for something similar to replace our lost holiday, and phone calls from well meaning relatives with endless suggestions. There is nothing similar available, of course, on the right date and I've balked at some of the alternatives. We will be going away, is the only definite.
Glad you finally got yourself into the garden, OG. It's exciting to see the plants which are already pushing up through the soil.
I'm off to nearby town with a shopping list.
CLARE - I get up earlier than when I was chronically tired - but not as early as you! Good morning!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Here's today's pic:
Ps -- Enjoy Minsmere, CLARE!

Saving our energy for the Breakfast Club!
Have a great day Clare.
Birdies LG DU update.
So pleased to hear that the permission to install a zip wire over Thirlmere in the Lake District has been turned down. I'm not against people having fun with these things, but I signed a petition against this as it would have spoilt the peace and quiet of this unspoilt bit of nature.
LINDY- for my 70th, OH and I went back to Madeira to a hotel that we had stayed in several times before and liked very much (hardly any children there!). Our room had a wonderful view across the harbour to Funchal.
OG - Such a pity that your older daughter won't join the celebrations for your sakes, since it is a joint affair. She sounds very strong willed to be able to influence her grown up children as well????
Son and Sam have gone on a road trip today, I'm staying at home to catch up with chores. Busy day yesterday - went to Elgin and met up with youngest daughter and family, lunch at Harbour Lights, Lossiemouth and then Sam enjoyed spending time with Mia and Isla when they arrived home from school.
