HAPPY NEW WEEK! I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
The epicentre was near Swansea. No wonder we didn't feel it on the Suffolk coast!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Saw that the worst of it was in the Bristol Channel, and South Wales..... some people apparently didn't even notice, and others thought their houses were falling down!
GOING WONKY
My office chair is wonky
I'd do better sitting on
A donkey!
How I've got this aching shoulder,
I don't know, except I'm older!
Me, and my chair, are falling apart,
But at least from this I can take heart
I'll toddle off and buy another
Then I can keep body & soul together....
LOL! Very good, Lindy!
I read about the earthquake just as the BBC News was telling me about it. Swansea is a long way from here ... didn't feel a thing.
I've messaged my friend in South Wales, enquiring about the tremors but she must be out and about- no reply.
Son will leave Shropshire about 7am tomorrow, hope they have a good journey.
ANNETTE- I did see that the army are taking over in Rio. Most tourists are OK but I would be worried.
My friend in Wales just messaged- she didn't notice anything!
www.bbc.co.uk/.../uk-43100524 Very droll.
Kind regards, Ann
DIANE- It would seem that the effects of the earthquake were very minor. But when we get more than two inches of snow, everything can go pear shaped here....
Oh Gardenbirder, re the Wales earthquake, that's hysterical!! :-)) I love the pic with the "We will rebuild!" caption!
STARTED NEW THREAD!
Annette, Agreed! I giggled through the whole thing. That is my favourite, too, 'We will rebuild!' Oops, sorry, just noticed you've begun a new thread.
