Earlier I posted the latest position for Blue LH0(17) 640 (from Clarach's first nest in 2017) who is still enjoying life in Heulva, Spain. I then realised it was still the 2017 thread. So I am reposting on this 2018 Aberfoyle thread. Or should Blue LH0(17) be on the Satellite Tracked Ospreys thread, rather than on the 2018 Season?
The link to the 2017 thread is here, and I will repeat some of Mary's start to that thread:
ABERFOYLE WEBCAM LINK - It operates between the hours of 09.30 am to 5.30 pm.
THE LODGE AT FOREST VISITOR CENTRE - Facebook Page where you will find current information and also historic info on the project.

Not sure if you are aware of the History of The David Marshall Lodge Trying, but it has been around since 1960.
Quote...
In 1960 the David Marshall Lodge was gifted to the Forestry Commission by the Carnegie Trust. David Marshall from Dunfermline, was the chairman of the Carnegie UK Trust during the 1950s and had the idea to build the lodge in Aberfoyle. In the 1960s it was a very new concept to focus on recreation and nature in the Forest.
The Lodge was nearly built in the Peak district but through public outcry The Trust reconsidered its decision and located the Lodge in Aberfoyle, and it has been enjoyed by thousands of visitors each year since and plays an important part in outdoor education and leisure in the Trossachs.
(as of Aug 2013 to be known as "The Lodge") The building has recently (2013) had a major facelift and re-opened for visitors in August 2013. From The Lodge you have stunning views towards the Loch Ard Forest, Ben Lomond and the Gargunnock and Campsie Hills.

Thanks folks for all updates and Mary for the report of your visit
Interesting history MARY I have only ever been to the Trossachs once, a good few years ago but it has always stuck in my mind and a name to conjure with Jealous of Clarach and McClarach having it as their home...and long may it be so
Peering through the gloom there is an Osprey brooding.
Birdies LG DU update.
Just saw one ghostly osprey bring a ghostly fish to another ghostly osprey!
Fabulous Alison :) i just had this quiet and not much happening -view:
2016: first time in history an Osprey nested in the NL. 2018: 2 active nests! 2019 a storm interferes. 2020: a third active nest in a tree!
Thank you so very much for the report of your visit Mary! <3
Camera is up, an incubating bird seen through the gloom.
This is for the persistent diehards. One bird incubtaing, i suspect it is Clarach, standing up to turn the egg(s)...
Thanks! I’m a happy persistent die-hard, not able to see any webcams at present
