Earlier I posted the latest position for Blue LH0(17) 640 (from Clarach's first nest in 2017) who is still enjoying life in Heulva, Spain. I then realised it was still the 2017 thread. So I am reposting on this 2018 Aberfoyle thread. Or should Blue LH0(17) be on the Satellite Tracked Ospreys thread, rather than on the 2018 Season?
The link to the 2017 thread is here, and I will repeat some of Mary's start to that thread:
ABERFOYLE WEBCAM LINK - It operates between the hours of 09.30 am to 5.30 pm.
THE LODGE AT FOREST VISITOR CENTRE - Facebook Page where you will find current information and also historic info on the project.

A crow stole the egg.
Strange to think that she herself was so nearly lost to a crow before she hatched.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
From my phone (no wifi used, then all is ok), @ 17:49:
twiddling with straws around the egg-cup
2016: first time in history an Osprey nested in the NL. 2018: 2 active nests! 2019 a storm interferes. 2020: a third active nest in a tree!
I read that on FB yesterday So sad but I am sure they can make up for it
Good morning

Good Morning KORKY - I was over The Trossachs yesterday and popped in at DML late afternoon unaware she had even laid an egg.
It was disappointing to hear from staff the surprise she had laid and also lost it hours later.
I went out on Lake of Monteith but had to abandon any osprey watching as I was bombarded with heavy hail storms. I'll try again during the week.
I'll ask David to re position the twigs but he wont be up the nest until July if she is successful in keeping them corvids at bay.
Thanks Keith. Lake of Menteith is usually Osprey Central. They're certainly fishing at Carron Reservoir now.
Both on the nest
lovely captures, thanks Korky
Thanks Karen. My snaps don't come out as well as others. Rural broadband, old laptop!
But here's more babies in the making I hope.
I'm still on camera!
