Earlier I posted the latest position for Blue LH0(17) 640 (from Clarach's first nest in 2017) who is still enjoying life in Heulva, Spain. I then realised it was still the 2017 thread. So I am reposting on this 2018 Aberfoyle thread. Or should Blue LH0(17) be on the Satellite Tracked Ospreys thread, rather than on the 2018 Season?
The link to the 2017 thread is here, and I will repeat some of Mary's start to that thread:
ABERFOYLE WEBCAM LINK - It operates between the hours of 09.30 am to 5.30 pm.
THE LODGE AT FOREST VISITOR CENTRE - Facebook Page where you will find current information and also historic info on the project.

Empty nest this morning. I see DOP say Clarach has been bonding with an unringed male but not sure if it's last years
The difficulty is that there has never been an identification of the male, last year, or this. Other than Clarach reaction and acceptance of him.
We see from other nests that identification of un-ringed Ospreys even by dedicated study is very difficult.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Yes watching the birds reactions will often tell you what is going on.
I am trying to be more dutiful today. But there's not much happening.
Need to practice my screen saving and posting so here's a really boring shot.

Indeed Mike. And here she is - well, I saw a blue ring as she flew off
Fish!
Well caught Korky.
Thanks Mike. Serendipity! As others have said, you get an idea of what is about to happen (or whether eg. the intruder is friend or foe) by their behaviour. She started doing the backwards walk and putting her head down.
