Lurker...
Brought up in a house where my Dad played board games with us and he held no prisoners.. sadly my girls I am similar.
Played hockey and tennis for my school as loved Saturdays out on a coach somewhere . A nifty javelin thrower as well..
Knee still a work in progress but needs to be good for Lundy in five weeks.
Winter kind so far not much snow but lots of ice.
Life about to change soon in a big way..
On that note happy new week :-))
Thank you to everyone for the helpful comments re cataracts. I was rather dismayed the first morning as vision was foggy, but greatly improved throughout the day.
Both eyes had deteriorated in the last six months. I declined the op. previously, but now knew it was necessary.
A great difference now between the eyes. Not to mention the short sight! I know it will get sorted out eventually.
Dibnlib I did laugh about your Great Aunt and the cats. Do you know if she got to
love them eventually?
Like Heather I hated sports at school. No one gave any encouragement in those days, or tried to find out what we could be good at.
I agree with Pat. I play bowls now, and am not too serious about it, but I do like to play well as part of a team.
I have looked at the first set of pics, Clare. Interesting as usual.
One other highlight from the cruise. After eight sea days about 400 miles off the coast of West Africa, we had missed seeing birds. We arrived at Walvis Bay, Namibia. The first thing I saw was a pelican flying past the balcony. Magic!
Rosy my girls grammar school encouraged sport..
Most lunch times we organised a sport depending on season..
Wendy, your last comment on your previous post looks interesting!
It is ... :-) x
Hope it's Good News, then, Wendy. :-)
STARTING NEW THREAD NOW
ROSY I doubt if my GREAT Aunt grew to love the cats. She never had any that I can remember and she was not the sort of person to change her mind.
ROSY My Great Aunt would definitely not have changed her mind.
