Glad that you enjoy my pics and ditties, bjane.
Hope that Annette is recovering now, and anyone else who is off colour at present.
OG - Sounds as if there are changes afoot with you on the transport front. Hope you get a satisfactory outcome.
Love the little curly ones, AQ!
It's been very cold here again, and more days like it on the way. A couple of years ago I bought a "duvet coat" - a feather filled padded long jacket. It's not been needed and I was thinking of giving it away, but now I'm thinking I might need it after all!
Diane - thanks for starting us off again.
Lindybird - Awful isn't it, couldn't remember whether it was Barry or Gary!!
AQ - lovely pics of your g.children.

Even though the weather is cold, it shouldn't be long now before we start to get slightly warmer weather and the return of the osprey. Well, it is still winter.
Have a good week all.
Heather B said: DIANE - I will watch the film trailer. I don't go to the cinema but will buy DVDs of films that I like. Darkest Hour is on the list, when it comes out in that format.

Heather: Get Out is more than a conventional horror movie; it's multi-layered and is already inspiring college courses dedicated to its themes and symbolism. I think Get Out will become the iconic film exploring racism in this time in America, in the same way that The Stepford Wives became the powerful social commentary on patriarchy and the role of women in 1975. See the Spoilers section here for an explanation of some of the film's symbolism.

BREAKING NEWS . . . Fire in postal office believe started by package of undeclared heat.
Evening all:
Diane: Yes - I saw the trailer for Get Out a while back and thought it looked interesting. A couple of launches, tomorrow I think - one from Vandenberg and a big SpaceX launch aat the Kennedy Space Center (payload is Elon Musk's own Tesla!. That one should be quite spectacular.
Lindybird: Bummer about a new crown being the only realistic option. Still, a good idea to keep something to chew with! Good you had a nice weekend.
Harelady: Did your guided tour include natural/historic, etc., narration? That bug is certainly enjoying a good run on both sides of the Pond.
OG: I don't know why companies keep tweaking their products. Except, of course, to make more money! Grrrr. Raspberries from Morocco? I wouldn't have thought the climate was right, but that probably only reveals how ignorant I am about Morocco. Hope the car/scooter demo is successful.
AQ: Have your summers been much hotter than normal? I heard that Cape Town may soon run out of water due to the extended droiught, which has me wondering, Where next?
Feeling better this evening. Results of another test came back, confirming the drug the doc pout me on was ineffective so I'm on a new one., so b/day dinner will be put off another week!
Take care all and have a good Tuesday.
bjane: Good to see you. It was -2F (-18.8C) here, too. I'm getting a little snow. Please don't try to shovel all that yourself. Shoveling snow is hard work. Be careful. Water got inside my big furnace when my roof leaked. But I have most of my house shut off, and I have a large heater for the room I'm in, so I'm fine. Also, I sleep under a really good electric blanket, which actually was too hot last night. I had to turn it down. Thanks for asking.
Lindy: I would love that sparrowhawk! Beautiful!
Annette and Harelady: I hope you both feel 100% better very soon!
I'm keeping an eye on all the markets tonight. The U.S. stock market has plummeted again during after-hours trading this evening. Scary.
Diane: I just heard that traders are expecting another huge drop in the stock market when it opens tomorrow. But it has been rising at a ridiculous rate for some time, so this is not a surprise really. Then we have government shutdown talks possible again this Thursday.....
