Thanks Diane. I think we have something to celebrate today, not just my birthday.
You certainly do, Keith! -- enjoy that feeling! Happy Birthday to you. What a pretty card, Diane.
Good Morning, Everyone. I slept in late, as we went to bed rather late last night: bang goes one of my N Y resolutions!
It's still cold, but it's dry and the sun is shining here.
Today's pic:
Happy birthday, Forestboar - have a good day!
Thanks Heather. A celebration lunch shortly.
Happy Birthday ForestBoar! :-))
Lynette: Hope I don't forget, but if I do, have a lovely birthday on Sunday. Are you doing something to celebrate?
Diane: I keep wondering if it's too late to emigrate to Denmark (always voted the happiest country). Think it was the same survey that rated the U.S. on a level with Estonia in terms of best places to live. :-( At least you're closer to the Canadian border than I am. Am more and more disgusted (and amazed it's even possible) with that (insert very naughty word) fool in the White House and his henchmen.
I see they're warning folks in Scotland to get home early today due to incoming storm. Someone on here the other day was saying that in spite of recurring bad winters/snow, etc., in the UK, the authorities never seem to be prepared for it in terms of roads, transportation, etc. The other week I was talking to a visiting UK couple who are hoping to stay here and the husband made the very same observation and he seemed quite exasperated about it.
Off to sort out my little corner of the world. Stay safe everyone. Meanwhile, hope things cool down soon for AQ.
There's been a lot of talk on this thread about "bad" weather be it too hot or too cold. It's not all doom and gloom though. You should take a look at Bob Telford's thread "A walk in the snow". He lives in NE England and it's absolutely beautiful.

Happy Birthday to ForestBoar today and Lynette on Sunday!
Annette - I was also on Jury Duty this week and am now released for two years (if I'm still around).
ANNETTE and BJANE - we have an upper age limit for jury service here in the UK - J is listed for 5th march. His employer has agreed to pay him for as long as it takes.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
