Absolutely fantastic news FB!!
Thank you all for those kind wishes. We have been living under that shadow for a long while. It is a serious shadow lifted for us. We can look to booking a week in Cornwall which we could not have contemplated before. In essence we can take control of our lives again. It has been very trying tto live a life while the hospital suddenly issues new appointments. Nothing for six months! For those who might be wondering – yes a drop of serious true single cask courtesy of Whisky Castle, Tomintoul. Nothing but the best!
Let us say that it won't be champagne for birthday tomorrow either.
ForestBoar said:Next appointment is six months time and likely six months regular monitoring probably for life. NO chemo!!!!! Our fingers crossed seems to have worked. A huge load of stress has been lifted from us.
FB - It's high time things worked out for you. Great news.
AQ: Thanks
We have an Extreme Heat Warning for today, especially targeting all the o/seas & interstate visitors to the Tour DownUnder who are not used to such dry heat. The public’s ride cancelled, the pros’ race is starting earlier, and paramedics on stand-by. It is so weird to read of your cold & snow.
It is so weird to read of all your heat!! There are trees down all over the place, with accompanying power & telephone lines, because of the high winds. Many roads in high areas are blocked by snow, and some people in places in Scotland have been told not to go out unless it's urgent & important.
I'm wearing warm tights a vest, thick trousers, a heavy jumper, and often a scarf indoors!! We are so grateful that we can have the heating on.
I have heard of two couples in the last 24 hours who have just arranged holidays abroad, leaving soon, to go somewhere warm.
Weather looks ghastly in the UK. And equally horrible Down Under.
Forestboar: That low sun creates problems for drivers all over! I too am impressed with all your smart techy stuff. Brilliant! And such good news too re your OH. That's great!
Been busy here this week. I was cramming a lot of stuff in because I was on call for jury duty, but am now off the hook for another couple of years. Daughter arriving Sunday for a week so will be busy again....
ForestBoar: I am so very happy about your good news! Best wishes to you and your family.
Happy Birthday to Forest Boar today!
Happy Birthday to Lynette on Sunday!
Hope all of you UK folks will stay safe in the bad weather.
AQ: I hope you get some cooler air soon. I also hope that you won't be threatened by any wildfires. I know that's a threat with extremely dry heat. Take care. Sit in the air conditioning!
Annette: Looks like our government is going to shut out the lights and lock the doors. :-(
