Diane: I suspect your poor fingers are frozen solid, so started the new thread. :-) Do hope your friendly neighborhood critters show up when the temperatures rise.
Check back for lovely pic of Kingfisher (and more) from Clare; Lindybird's Second Christmas and updates on cruises; OG's plans to attend a masked ball - and more!
I drove all over the local neighborhood today: Library; hardware store; charity shop; Bed, Bath and Beyond (looking for towels); Habitat for Humanity's ReStore warehouse; University's hazardous waste center; County electronic recycling center; pet shop, beauty supply shop; and two supermarkets! Phew!
Hello, Keith. Nice to hear from you, which is why I clicked "like" on your post but sorry that you're suffering with your sinuses and asthma. Also, it's a shame that your S Daughter has a cold when she has to get through the chemo. Hope it doesn't mean it's halted and then has to be repeated later.
Hope it's not too cold in your part of the country.
A quick thank you to all who have offered support and good advice to me. You are a great bunch of folk.
Aw, shucks, Heather!! We're looking at the floor now, and changing the subject...... hope you're feeling alright today. Bet your family enjoyed that lamb dinner this week, my OH nearly came over to join in as it's one of his favourites.
I'm just going to wash out a new casserole pan I bought - I didn't have one with a lid that was big enough to feed more than two, so have treated myself in the Sales. As my OH says " We have enough pans" I hope he'll forgive me for buying it when I cook another of his favourites, beef & carrot stew with dumplings, in it. I wanted one which you could use on the hob or in the oven, but didn't want to spend out on an expensive French model.
Good afternoon, all. We've just got back from a very cold Abberton Reservoir, which means I'm going through a few photos (439, to be exact!). As I took a good number of photos at Minsmere yesterday I'm clearly going to be busy for a while.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

Linda: You can come here and have a choice of around 1200 wild boar to amuse yourself!
Just be sure you can run fast!! http://www.gloucestershirelive.co.uk/news/gloucester-news/wild-boar-bit-part-finger-1042049
