Ladies and Gentleman, Margo's husband Chris has just rung me and asked me to post a message on his behalf to all Margo's friends on this Forum.
As you will know during Margo's final weeks and after her passing many messages were posted on here and which I then e-mailed to Chris.
He wants everyone to know how much that contact helped him through some very dark times and still does to this day.
I had a long chat with him and it is clear that his pain is still very real, particularly at this time of the year, together with the fact that her birthday falls on Boxing Day.
His message was simple "Please convey to all those people who showed such care, kindness and friendship to both Margo and I my grateful thanks for their support and wish them a very Happy Christmas and New Year"
It is my pleasure and privilege to do so.
As previously if there are any responses I will forward them to Chris.
Birdies LG DU update.
Please send Chris our best wishes. I still miss seeing Margo on here - she had so much strength and courage, as well as love of life.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
I was thinking about MARGO earlier this evening. Please forward my best thoughts to Chris, Mike.
I think of dear Margo often. She was such an integral part of these threads, and to her, watching and reading about the ospreys was pure joy.
I know she appreciated the many friends she had made on here. We, for our part, all loved her for her unfailing friendship, kindness, and her boundless enthusiasm. Please tell Chris that he is also in our thoughts over the next few days.
That was a lovely thing for Chris to do. Margo was one of the first people I started reading before I plucked up courage to join this group. I remember her post from her time at Loch Garten. Mike do please let Chris know that we all still think of her and the wonderful Billie.
What a lovely message from Chris. Please tell him how much it's appreciated. She was a real role model for me; she bore her trials with no complaint and with such graciousness and concern for us all.
How good of Chris to be in touch on what must be a very painful day for him. I think of Margo often, but especially today, being her birthday, and remember her fondly for her brave outlook through such a difficult time..
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
In view of the special date I have just sent the messages to Chris. I will, of course forward any others during the week.
Thank you Mike. Much appreciated. I'm sure others will pop in later....
Margo's love and compassion for all living things, whether bird or animals or people was awe-inspiring. Her love for Chris and Billie was on another level. I miss her and her gentle courage.
Mike – Please pass on to Chris my best wishes. It is hard missing someone at this time of year when everything is shouting joyful. I miss Margo’s wonderful stories. A courageous lady, I’m glad I “met” her through these pages.
