Whatever holiday you celebrate (or not), I hope you all have a meaningful, peaceful, and happy time!!!

I know that I sent Christmas wishes on last week's thread but just wanted to resend them this week.
Thank you all for your support this year. I have been uplifted, have laughed, have been distracted when that was just what was needed.
Just so grateful...
Both of us are snuffling a bit, so we have had ourselves a medicinal whisky and will have an early night. Wishing you all and your families A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS. XXX
Here it is 7.20 am Ch-mas morn, blue sky. All is quiet, not a new bike is stirring. Surely the neighbouring pre-schoolers are up & about. Years ago the street would be busy by now with Dads running up & down assisting the trainees!
Happy Christmas, Aquilareen!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Clare - did you hear the news item today about a hand-reared herring gull which was trying to make friends with people - but scaring them instead? There is a call for it to be captured and removed from the area. (Just saw your message about herring gulls ...)

I changed my signature line as a frightening number of people aren't aware that almost all of our native gulls are amber listed, with the herring gull and the kittiwake on the red list (the little gull is the only green listed one). It makes me angry that people call for culls of the herring gull - especially when certain sections of our national press join in.
I like all your photos, Lindy, Dibnlib and Limpy.
I hope everyone here enjoys their day tomorrow, however they might be spending it.
Heather and Harelady: I am thinking of both of you tonight and wishing you solace.
dibnlib: Your photos of the doggies were lovely. Very special dogs!
Limpy: I loved that woodpecker!
Annette: I hope everything is improving for you, in terms of the fire and other adversity.
All: I'm going to Crawfordsville tomorrow to cook Christmas dinner for my Dad's cousin (who has a new hip) and will probably stay the night. I wish everyone a peaceful and joyful holiday.
To all: Season's Greetings to you and yours.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
A Happy Christmas to you All. Peace on Earth. Have a good day, wherever you are.
