Welcome to a new week from a sunny spring afternoon in Adelaide.
Dibnlib - glad to hear OH's health issues have been sorted and hopefully he will start to feel a little better once the medication kicks in.
Lindybird - loved your pictures of Madeira.

Well done you, AQ. Bet you are ready for a rest now.
Lindy - see that you are away again, I take it it is your holiday home that you retreat to. Enjoy.
Heather - enjoy your weekend in Shropshire.
I hired a gardener to do some heavy clean up work that should've been done last winter, but wasn't. They're attacking the big shrubs now and I'm a bit worried that it's all going to look too manicured.... Still, I'm sure time will take care of that, but at least I can take it from here.
Nephew and fiancee tucked up at niece's house in Newport Pagnell. I'll be picking them up at LAX next Tuesday.
Hi Lynette and Clare!
Annette – Please send your gardener on here. I think I’m winning against some of the weeds, but not the violets that have spread all over. Fence-to-fence ground cover maybe? And then out front (OH’s territory) there is the couch grass that escaped from the lawn. This morn he intended to water the front garden but couldn’t find the tap for the jungle of couch. I told him that it looked a good hiding place for brown slithery things.
Good morning, all. Does anyone here like bearded tits? Click on this gorgeous pair if you'd like to see more:
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
I've been trying to post for two hours <sigh>
~ and now, we're going out.
Thank you Clare. You were indeed very lucky to get them to pose like that. I remember the first time I saw them, at Titchwell. I sat on a seat, on the path to the beach, for hours before they decided to reward my patience and actually perch up. Fabulous birds.
Birdies LG DU update.
Hello all- my very old tablet (kindle) is not happy to be away from home. Signal very dodgy at times. Anyway, I'm up to date with ANNETTES too tidy shrubs, AQ' s creeping violets, LINDY' s dodgy weather and Benson's thoughts about walking in the rain.
My silly sore foot is hampering things a bit but we did get to Shrewsbury today, had a nice lunch and visited son's whisky shop. They sat me in a corner and plied me with drink (gin, as I don't like whisky). Salopian gin ,WENDY and very nice too.
Tomorrow, a family get together with me as representative of the Scottish half.
STARTING NEW THREAD NOW
I'm starting the new thread a little early, because I need to take a nap. LOL Sorry for any inconvenience.
